I do take HSA, however homebirth midwives in Utah are not eligible to take insurance.
Can I bring a doula with me to my birth?
Yes! Doulas are encouraged and welcome at all of my client's births.
Do you restrict amount of people I can bring to my birth?
No, you can have any support persons you feel necessary. Many of my clients have had doulas, videographers/photographers, family members (including their other children), sound bath facilitator, energy worker, etc present at the birth. It is all about your personal comfort.
Can I have a waterbirth?
Yes, although birth pools are not included. You may rent a birth pool or use your home tub.
What happens in an emergency?
I am trained to handle emergencies and maintain current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and CPR. In the event of a severe situation, we will promptly transfer you to the nearest hospital, where a collaborating medical team will be ready to provide the necessary care.
What is your refund policy?
My refund policy varies based on individual circumstances, including the level of care received, the number of prenatal visits, and any lab work completed. If I have provided prenatal care and supported you during labor, there will be no refund if you transfer to a hospital during the birth. However, if I have not been present during labor and you transfer out of my care before the time of birth, I will refund $1,000 of your total fee.
